Torishima Fluid Power have a wealth of experience in designing, manufacturing and commissioning electro hydraulic systems, which include solenoid, proportional and servo valves controlled by a PLC, HMI or similar.
These systems have been used in many varied applications
- Turf harvesting vehicle - open loop load sense control of the cylinder and motor functions using an electro hydraulic slice valve and bespoke valve manifold. The system comprised a cylinder for lifting turf and hydraulic motors for the cutting and conveyor functions. The plc controlled the complete harvesting function with closed loop control of the pallet lowering.
- Hydraulic Systems for a Cable Engine - Torishima Fluid Power were asked to provide a design and build service for a Cable Engine. The Cable Engine transfers and tensions subsea cable from a cable reel to carousels for loading onto a ship. The system needed hydraulic power and control, with a plc system for customer data transfer and remote operation. Tension on the cable was controlled automatically through the plc, elctro hydraulic valves control the force and speed of the system.
