Why Do You Need a Filter Cart?

Hydraulic filter carts have been on the market for a long time. They are an important tool in cleanliness control, which can improve the long term reliability of hydraulic systems. They are used for filtering new oil into hydraulic systems and cleaning the oil in existing systems. It is a surprise to most people that new hydraulic oil is not necessarily clean enough to be put straight into their hydraulic system. New oil has no cleanliness guarantee so any contamination ingress from the refining process to the transfer into containers or barrells will be present in the new oil.

Filter carts can clean the oil and transfer the oil quickly and easily to the hydraulic reservoir, with minimum spillage. Older hydraulic systems may need the oil filtering, especially if the installed filtration is not up to standard. Filtering the oil through a filter cart so the volume of the reservoir passes through the cart at least five times, will usually improve the cleanliness by a good margin.

Having a good filter cart with a reasonable flow rate and multi stage filtration will ensure quick and clean oil transfer.
